We went to the birthday party of a friend of Suz' last night. It was really interesting to talk to heaps of lovely locals - none of whom seemed to originally come from New York.

A charming coincidence was spending most of the evening yakking with a woman, Christie, who not only turned out to be a graphic designer....she did the tacky NZ posters for 'Flight of the Conchords' !! Classic.

This is her with the claws up, next to Kim, who was zombie-d up for a Hallowe'en bicycle ride starting in a cemetery later that night!





On the way home we saw this patriotic-as-all-hell truck.

Someone is sooooo proud!!!
