The end is near...

The weather today is crazy - about 17ºC, when it normally would be below freezing at this time of year - global warming anyone? But it was fantastic to get out of heavy coats and into t-shirts though...

We went out for our last day of wandering about New York - a final bit of shopping and sightseeing. I splurged and bought a classic polyester bowling shirt, Rach picked up a nice tibetan wrap dress, green of course.

Rach had to say goodbye to Trash and Vaudeville, her fav shop in New York. They'll miss you too, baby.

We managed to squeeze in one final touristy destination - MoMA, the Museum of Modern Art, which is really an art gallery, not a museum, but I guess museum sounds grander and more impressive. MoMA is a really nice place, well designed and crammed with artworks by Picasso, Monet, etc....

The best work of art in the gallery.

A really neat part of MoMA is the industrial design section - lots of beautifully thought out commercial products. This is the 'Bambi' model Airstream caravan. Goooorgeous.

One thing we won't miss is rush hour subway rides... Nahh, actually we will miss this craziness.

Adam pulled out the stops and put on a superb farewell dinner last night. Course after course of mussels, quail, duck, and, of course, Bear.

Another great surprise was the presence of the lovely Rocky, an old friend from New Zealand.

Rachel trying to outsing Larry. We finished the night in the early hours of the morning at the loft next door, playing pool and Karaoke (Rach won, I think).
