Yesterday, after replying to many ads on CraigsList (TradeMe in US) for temporary house renting, someone finally got back to us.
Maybe the others didn't like our letter....
Or maybe I checked & told Alex that he was putting in the wrong phone number!!
So anyway, we visited this nice writer chick, Kythe (pronounced like Keith), and we are going to sublet her room for 3 weeks from Nov 30-Dec 23 while she is artist in residence in Virginia. Pleased that it finishes before new years as we have a tentative plan to go on a trip somewhere then.
There is one other guy living there, a writer also, and 2 cats. They have 6 & 7 toes!!!! Will take a pic as soon as I can. Very cute those mutant paws! It is in a very good part of Park Slope, Brooklyn, in a 4 story brownstone.
