We hired a row boat and Alex rowed me all around one of the lakes. (I had a go on the oars too & was rather good if I do say so myself). It was a funny shaped lake so we kept to the right bank and made our way around all of it. Alex made me sing to him whilst he rowed so we had a very lovely, 'Wind in the Willows', kind of a time.
Speaking of childrens stories, we came across this fantastic bronze sculpture depicting Alice in Wonderland. I liked it. The characters look right as they are a bit quietly scary looking too. It's quite big, that's a kid under it on the left of the pic.
This is one of the views we had looking out from the lake. Quite beautiful as the leaves are just beginning to turn orange. The arrow is pointing to the Dakota Hotel, where John Lennon was shot. We walked past it on the way into the park & there was a few tourists taking pics of it. There is a nice (yet plain) mosaic just in the park as a memorial. It is a large circle with imagine written in the centre.
