29 Nov - Gallery

I helped the boys out at a gig last night. It was presentation thing for a charity held in an art gallery. As well as lighting & a sound system, we put up a stage & podium for a speaker. I hung up all the fabric at the back of the stage - so proud!

I perked fancy food off the waiters trays as they headed back to the kitchen & learnt that if you stand on the street with a clipboard people will ask you directions.

The gallery had some brilliant sculptures on the wall that look like shrubs or birds' nests made of 4" lengths of twisted steel rod. Not very interesting you might think. But when a spotlight is shone from a certain point, the shadow cast makes a totally amazing picture. One was a huge linear mosquito, another a solid cat. Very groovy - I may just have to make something similar.

Tonight we move into our Park Slope apartment...how exciting!
